Online notarization is legally valid in most states and broadly accepted across the US. There are a few things to confirm before you book.
Many title companies and county recorders accept RON, but a few jurisdictions still require ink-and-paper. Before booking for a deed, mortgage, or similar recordable, confirm with the receiving title company that they accept RON. California Civ. Code §1189 explicitly permits out-of-state RON for most non-real-estate purposes.
The notary's commission state controls the notarization, not the signer's location. As long as our notary is commissioned in a RON-authorized state, you can be located anywhere (within the US).
